Calendars not immediatley synching

Hi, I've recently joined Booking after solely using Airbnb for a few years. I have my listing on both platforms and have linked the Airbnb calendar to Booking and vice-versa. 

The calendars have been talking and the various bookings on both sites were being shown correctly in each calendar for the first few days of activity. Today however (3 days in) I noticed that new bookings on both Airbnb and Booking were not being reflected in the others calendar. I had to go onto each website and manually synch each calendar. 

Surely this isn't normal and each calendar should immediately synch and not rely on manual synching. I do check each time I have a booking and therefore shouldn't end up with double bookings but that is a possibility if these calendars aren't synching automatically.

Has anyone had the same issue? Is there something that I need to do to make sure that synching happens immediately?

Hi! Llandettyhallfarm and welcome to the forum. I have noticed the same thing. I also manually fix calendars if they are not synchronized after a booking. Probably sometimes synchronization doesn’t work all the times.

Thanks. Also just noticed that I had to sync all of my devices. Calendars when viewed through my PC were manually synched and up to date the Pulse app and the calendar when I logged in on my phone still showed the booked dates as available.

This is worrying as I understand if the property gets double booked we are still somehow obliged to accommodate although it is the fault of the platform not synching correctly. We only have one room so won’t be able to deal with double bookings.

Double booking is a very serious problem and we have to be very careful about it. I think that we must always check our calendars once we have a booking. Unfortunately BDC states that if there is a double booking we are obliged to accommodate guests somewhere else .

Ok its not working again. Other sites are fine but bdc bookings are not syncing out. Maybe as they have made it the owners problem, they can’t be bothered to fix it in the system. There is a defect in the code that needs to be fixed

Yes, this evening my Airbnb and Booking.com calendars un-synced without me noticing and shortly after I had a double booking. Came through Airbnb so they sorted and are looking into the issue. Not sure if the problem lies with Airbnb or Booking.com.

I have The same issue on Airbnb and home and away. It’s a Booking.com issue in that it is passing no data to the calendar is it sinks with and all entries are therefore blank in a airBMB and home underway

Since synchronization is not reliable we must always have in mind to check our calendars after having reservations although sometimes it's difficult.
