Hi Lisamendel55,

Thanks for your post!

This article on The City Tax might be helpful for you.

You can check your current city tax settings as follows:

  1. Click on the Property tab on the Extranet.
  2. Select VAT/Tax/Charges.
  3. If there's no mention of city tax in your list of charges, it’s assumed to be part of the final price.

Hope that helps,

Ilaria

I am registered for City tax in Nice, France. I had hoped that bdc would take this at source like other holiday sites but this seems to not be the case as I am not a 'professional'. It appears I have to ask the guests when they arrive for the tax and pay myself. How are guests made aware at time of booking of this payment upon arrival? I am very worried about this. I dont want them to cancel when I tell them of this extra expense but obviously I cannot pay for everyone !!!

Can anyone help,

Thanks,

Jane

As we classed as Non professional - the bdc site says that 3% city tax is not included in the price. How do we charge the guest for this? It is actually 80 centimes per head per night. It can't be per stay as it depends on the length of the stay and how many people..
