We thought this would help us. Purchased an android box, as we have no satellite dish but has been causing us problems due to slow connection/streaming.

Any idea what type of speed is required?

How did you setup NetFlix for the motel ? did you use multiple accounts?

Been looking at this option but can't see any commercial packages available yet and need to be careful of bandwidth.

I have a Netflix account with 5 logins (4 rooms at my guesthouse) and have 20 mgb per second download (uncapped and unshaped) and don't seem to have any problems as yet

I don't think it is allowed to use a personal netflix subscription in a hotel, it is intended for personal use and not for commercial use.

We are installed chomecast on each tv in the rooms to offer customers the possibility to watch netflix on their own netflix account. Guest are happy with that solution.

    Hi to everyone,

In South Africa, we have no other choice than "Multichoice" for satellite channels. No competition means high prices.

Of course, there are other options:

    • via smart TV, but it's also somewhat of a budget to upgrade all our TV sets to smart TVs,
    • I had lots of hopes in Google Chromecast, only to discover that one would need to download as many paying apps as type of channels that one would need (ie: news, sport, etc...). Besides, I don't see how we can ask all our guests to download those apps to allow them to watch the channel of their choice...
    • I was also advised to buy a device allowing streaming (MyGica Media Player ATV1900Pro),

What is the most user friendly and cost effective option, if any?... Or should I just rather stick to tMultichoice and continue paying their hospitality industry set package?

    Thanks for your input.

    Best regards / Yves
