Can we offer lower prices on our website?

I have read recently in the media that we can offer different prices on our own website and other different channels we may use for advertising e.g. Expedia, Tours around Britain etc. Is this true? Are any of you guys offering different prices?

Hey there,

It's true indeed. Depending on what method you are using to run all these platforms, it can be quite easy. Do you have a Channel Manager? If so, you can just give the different prices per platform and take it from there. Just remember that Booking.com offers price match. So if they find the same availability for cheaper on another website/platform, they will offer that price to a guest if they request it.

Hope this helps?

I think when you signed with booking.com there is somewhere says that the rices has to be matched with other booking companies so the prices has to be mathed. But you could always offer a discount if they book directly to your website and etc...

I wonder how this works with discount codes etc... No way for BCD to track what you actually charge customers, if it's not listed on your website, but sent out in advertising like subscriber emails, adwords and facebook ads.

But probably best not to test the limits of BCD, unless you're not dependent on them for getting bookings.

Hi there,

Haha Ragnar, too right you are. Best not test the limits.

That's why my advise may not have been the best.

Thanks for you input Lee
