Thank you Laura for the wonderful post.  My pleasure to show you my front page in website.  Actually I thought it was forbidden to show our place in the forum. All of my photos have been taken by me with my iphone. "No money no honey". They might not been professional but for the time being thats the best I can do. I have seen professional ones and I was stunned. Although mine are not professional they are real ones.

I personally designed the website following the Booking.com steps. Step by step and searching all the time. I had many problems since my area has not internet connection and I use my personal data. I still have problems with internet and most of the times like now I am at a beautiful cafe drinking coffee using WIFI. So I mix business with pleasure. I have included all the information needed, I have checked out all of the small blocks. I have given all information about policies, amenities, room details etc. Although I know that free wifi is essential for potential guests unfortunatelly I cant. Breakfast is not included by a have all kind of local goodies such as goat cheese, milk, eggs, wine, fruits, cakes, honey, home made marmelade, home made lemon juice etc. I have free aircondition and laundry. In my bathroom I have slippers, bathrobes, hairdryer, shampoos, conditioners, body lotions and fresh flowers. Last but not least I give my heart to everything I do and try to make my guests have a marvelous stay at the Adams Studio in Oropos.

    Laura thanks for your support.

  • Well, for who has seen my replies, also knows that my website is strictly attached to them.

It is a very simple website with a booking engine that is connected directly to my PMS, which makes things easy and simple.

I've put a video tour with the property there. Video+photos all professionally done from the first day, as is everything around here.

    Feedback is appreciated.

Zsolt magnificent villas, beautiful photos, professional video. A wonderful place to be!!!

  • Thank you, M.

I really suggest you try professional photography for your place. It's not even about the camera, it's more about the lighting that gives that great view of everything.

    @M Adamopoulou

You really made a lot of effort to get things done the right way.

You don't need to be a professional to take some stunning pics of your establishment.

May I make a suggestion to the image shown? Why not taking the picture in the evening with some soft light settings, even candle light and then compare the two. You'll see the difference. At the moment it is quite dark because of the day light outside which is irritating the little camera's settings. Also try another ankle, even standing on a chair and take the pic from above towards the area around and with the fire place......

Thanks Martina for the suggestions. I will try again from another ankle. You are so right the light outside irritates the cameras settings.  I have tried it so many ways. The view is stunning from the inside unfortunatelly I cannot shoot it right. This one has light but does not show the view. Thanks again for your recommendations.

    Light, light please!

    Can you put paintings higher?

And please light up those candles. It's not just romantic mood, but it's a good luck. Makes place also look lively.

I would like to say, that I am not to judge or criticize. If I am the one to shoot, I will do that from right corner to show how big the property is (it's true).

If you would let me to continue...:)

Please, replace those two paintings (fake ones?) with one piece, that will be the center of attention.

Curtains please. Knowing you, it's the easiest thing for you to do :)

Katerinka12 very helpful recommendations. I know you are not criticizing. As you said one piece of painting would be much better. Behind tha paintings are two openings supposed to be small windows but I have closed them. Too many windows in the Studio. So these two paintings are actually covering the windows.  Its a temporary solution. I am working on it. I dont like curtains  any more. Never use them because the view is stunning day-night. Early in the morning the sun rises from the mountains sparkling in the sea. In the night the moon shines.  I have many curtains hand-made by my mom and grandmom but its to much work when cleaning and ironing, I dont hang them any more. Surely the windows are nicer with curtains I agree but to much work. I will try to shoot photos from another corner. Thanks again for your creative ideas.

To MANY windows? That's interesting perspective. :)
We are planning to put curtains off. It gives more hygienic feel, room looks "bigger" and it is less kitschy. I preffer the minimal design more (at the moment).

Pibomarco I’m so happy that somebody agrees with me about curtains. So much fuss, so much money, so much work. If your place has an open window to nature you don’t need them. Enjoy the sunlight, the moonlight without interference. Have a nice day.

Somehow I forgot or simply didn't see that there is a good view. It should be shown somehow on photos.

Since the guests do not read descriptions, let us hope they at least look at pictures?

I didn't mean to add any extra work for you. I in fact wish that you can earn so much, that cleaning will be the last thing for you to think about.

When I was writing my message I was thinking about adding curtains just for picture purposes (one time use for photoshoot). However, my staff doesn't like this idea saying it will lead to "Pictures verses reality" problem.

Now that I know there is to die for view, it definitely beats the curtains idea and I want to see that view! (excited)

Oh Katerinka12 thanks for the links but remember that I don’t have internet connection thus making it impossible for me to see all these links. I will though as soon as go out for coffee where WiFi is free.
If you want to see the view it’s very simple. Why don’t you search for The Adam’s Studio in Oropos I have some photos there. Again photos don’t show exactly the beauty I’m admiring from my Studio. Thanks for suggestions.

Katerinka12 I forgot to tell you that in the night the scenery is incredible with so many white, yellow lights on and on top of that the moonlight sometimes sparkling the sea. This is impossible for me to shoot, only a professional photographer would. You know no money no honey 🍯

Though I do always recommend to make professional pictures with photographer, it doesn't mean you can't make good pictures on your own.

I submitted my pictures to Shutterstock and to my surprise they were approved. I ran experiment - I didn't choose pictures. I just inserted the last 6 pictures from my phone Huawei camera. And what a pleasant surprise - 50% were approved.

It simply means you can get good pictures using whatever camera you have. Especially we have professional photographers here, like Joey, Mike and Martina. It's a luxury, that many people do not have. As it's hard to be very productive and have many ideas on your own

People are like cattle as Zsolt said. You need to show them. Yes, to show the view. Though I do already have very good idea about your place location and surroundings, even me... I didn't think that absense of curtains could mean a great view in window! 😂

Also, when I look at your pictures, I do not see any kind of food. I see the goat, but what's more important for me as a guest I do not see if there is goat or cow or soy/whatever milk is served.

As I don't see the pictures of food, I might choose another place to stay, even if they are more expensive and not so cozy. Because people care about the food. What the sense to have a vacation and cook on your own (and not knowing if there is a grocery there nearby)?

So, its a great start for pictures. Bottle of milk in the fridge or eggs will at least give idea that your guest will not be left hungry.

     Katerinka so many suggestions. Thanks.

Wish Joey, Mike and Martina could be here to help me.

I had one picture with fruits and nuts so I just added it. Tomorrow I will try for some more. The goat picture is just to show the surroundings. Kids really love it. Most of my guests  bring with them their grocery when they arrive. Its clearly written in my listing that groceries are far 3 klm far away from my place. My kitchen is fully equipped therefore they prefer to cook themselves, its cheaper.

I guess I am the kid. I really love the picture of goat!

Talking about the grocery I was referring to pictures only. As some guests do not read at all...
