enable two way verification

Want to enable two way verification. Got an email that mentions to enable it :

"

Two Factor Authentication

Stay safe and increase the security of your account by adding Two Factor Authentication. You can enable this within the Security tab in your account settings."

. I have got my phone number there but nothing about two way verification. Searching gives no results. Is it possible?

Greetings

Ik snap dit ook niet ( Verhuur )

Ask directly to BDC to simplify their system.

And who knows it will be created. If you don't try, you won't get it. (Dutch saying)

PS Soms staan tips vermeld maar werkt dit alleen voor PC Desktop en niet voor cellphone of laptop. Zou dat kunnen in jullie geval?

Groetjes

got a reply after more than a week. Sometimes (after login from multiple devices) they activate this option. So a confusing mail to ask to enable it when it is not posible to enable. Greetings

So, Verhuur , if I understand you correctly , your problem is not solvable?

What was the advice they gave, actually?

What were you not able to activate? And why?

I am trying to learn from others too.

A week is a long wait! But I am glad you got somebody answering.

And it is great that you came back to us sharing the update.

I don't use two-way verification and to be honest, not exactly sure what it is. What would be my benefit?

Keep in touch Verhuur, and hope for you that guests will continue to knock on your door for a nice stay.

Can you share your unit with us to show photo's, please.

Dank je wel :)

Greetings

Aaltje, not solvable because they have an algoritm that decides if I can use it. But meanwhile sends email to ask me to turn it on :-)

Two way verification is an extra way to check it is you who is logging in (for example an SMS to your phone). To make it more difficult for others to log in under my name and make changes to bookings :-)

Ah, Ronald :)

So BDC have an algoritm that decides that you can use it, or not use it. I don't get that part of the story.

If they decided you can not use it, why would they offer you in the first place?

that is the strange part about it :-)

Probably a standard message without taking into account if you are able to use it.

According to mr. google (I just looked it up) it is something that you enable yourself, by turning it on and off, via Google, or Samsung etc.

It isn't something that BDC can switch on and off? Correct?

And I use it on my smartphone all the time...apparently, haha.

but you can not use it? Do you have an older type smartphone, Ronald?

But you should be able to activate it in your PC?

how do we turn it off. I just recieved access to our booking.com page and trying to start a visibility booster, but it says two factor auth is required, and it will not allow me to do anything at that point.

Same story as above, I think... Try to contact BDC via the inbox in the extranet, Shawn. See if that helps.

I don't get my head around this either!

Hope they get it solved for you.

Good luck!
