Why are some photos not showing on my page?

Have you recently added photos but they’re not yet showing on your page? Take a look at the tips below:

Photo quality

If your photos have been reported of being low quality, it’s because they don’t meet our guidelines. They may be too blurry, pixelated, too dark or light. We recommend a minimum resolution of 2048 by 1536 pixels (3.1 megapixels) to ensure the guest gets the best possible impression of your accommodation, helping to improve your conversion rates.

Number of photos

We’re constantly testing which photos encourage guests to book and we know that customers like to see a minimum number of 24 photos per property. Our research has shown that there is an ideal maximum number of photos on a page — that’s why we’ll only show the first 45 in your photo gallery.

Angle of photo

Wide-angle or ‘fish-eye’ lenses can create a distorted impression of the image, so we don’t recommend these types of photos. They won’t show your property at its best and they may affect your conversion rates.

Photos of facilities, not people

We offer all types of accommodation to all types of traveller and the photos we show should showcase the property and what is has to offer. That’s why we avoid showing photos of people, as this doesn’t appeal to our large, global customer base.

Water marks and logos

We recommend adding photos without any logos, watermarks or text. This can distract from the image and may make a potential customer leave your property page.
