Have you discovered the Ranking On Site dashboard in your extranet?
To help you understand the information we have collected and can be seen under 'Ranking On Site', we have a quick Q&A below.
Looking for your Ranking On Site dashboard? Once you log into your extranet, you will find it under your ‘Analytics’ tab.
How do I know that my popularity is good or bad? What can I do to improve my popularity?
This dashboard offers you an indication how your popularity is compared to other properties in the same city, district and your competitive set. Popularity varies from property to property, as there are many different factors that influence ranking. These are, again, related to customer search behaviour and your competitor’s behaviour. One of the important factors is conversion, which is the number of bookings divided by the number of visitors that visit your property page. You can visit our article on improving your ranking or Opportunity Centre for more information how to improve your popularity on Booking.com.
How are search result views, property views and Bookings calculated?
Your search result views is a calculation of the number of times your property is visible to our guests on the search results page. The ‘property views’ figure includes the number of click-throughs to your property page. Additionally, ‘bookings’ is the total number of bookings (excluding cancellations).
These numbers are based on the past 30 days that are presented in the graph.
What is the competitive set based on?
In our extranet you can create your own competitive set to compare your property’s performance and growth to others in your area. Based on the competitors you have selected, we show you your popularity. You can view or update this by clicking the link to ‘Manage your competitive set’.
