The room descriptions on your Booking.com property page are based on the information you’ve provided in the extranet, such as room type, size, amenities and bedding.
When you add a new room, a short description is automatically generated based on these details. Any changes you make to rooms in the extranet will also be updated in the text and translated into multiple languages. If your rooms have special features not covered by the extranet, we advise you to add photos instead.
Our research shows that photos have the biggest impact on a customer’s decision to book and are the most effective way to manage their expectations. Check out our top tips on taking photos.
However, if you notice something factually incorrect in your current description, let us know by following these steps:
- Log in to the extranet and click on the 'Property' tab.
- Click on 'View your descriptions’
- Click on ‘Request a correction’ below ‘Property description’ or below the room description(s) you want to change. Add your requested changes to the text box. It’s best to be as clear and specific as possible, using bullet points as a quick way to include information.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Submit request' when you’re done. Our Content Team will process your request within a week.
Note: All description-related requests are evaluated by our Content Team. They make decisions on potential changes based on best practices and company guidelines. Currently, the average time it takes to process a request is 6 days.
