How can I set up derived pricing to automatically change my rates for different occupancies?
In order to attract single travellers, couples and groups, it’s important to set up your prices for different types of occupancies. If you want your rates to change automatically according to the room occupancy, you must first activate a feature called ‘derived pricing’.
What is derived pricing?
Derived pricing is an easy way to set rates for rooms with multiple occupancy options.
You start by creating a standard rate for the ‘base’ or maximum occupancy of a given room. You can then set up rates for other occupancies, either with specific prices or by adding or subtracting a percentage or value from your base price.
This way, you only have to set up your standard rate – and all your occupancy rates will be automatically updated depending on the occupancy your guest selects.
How do I set up derived pricing?
To add this function to some or all of your rooms and rates, our Accommodation Services team must first adjust your extranet settings. You can get in touch with them using your local support centre number.
