When joining Booking.com, you need to verify your property’s location to make sure guests can easily find it on arrival. It only takes 5 minutes to verify your property location yourself online.
How to verify your property’s location online
We’ll send a letter with a verification code to the property address you provided during registration.
Once you receive your verification letter (usually within 3 weeks), follow these steps:
- Log into the extranet and click on the ‘Home’ tab.
- Under ‘Your code’, enter the code provided in your location verification letter.
- Click on ‘Verify property’ (or ‘Confirm my location’).
- If you haven’t already set your property live, click on ‘Open for bookings’ (or ‘Publish my property’).
Note: If you do not receive your verification letter within 3 weeks of having registered, or you’re unable to verify your property location online for any reason, contact us via your extranet ‘Inbox’ (or the ‘More’ tab on the Pulse app), using ‘Property Details’ as the topic.
Why location verification is important
We market properties across multiple search engines and on affiliate websites, so it’s vital that we show guests the correct property information right from the start. This also helps you to manage expectations and provide a positive guest experience.
If your property location remains unverified, your property may be temporarily closed and prevented from receiving new bookings.
In such cases, you can make your property open/bookable again by following the process outlined above.
