How to delete a discount for "mobile"

Hello,

I would like to delete the discount for "mobile", I can't find it on "promotions page".

It was a kind of discount I made through the "oppotunities" page.

Thank you for your help

Just contact BDC through extranet messaging, under the promotions option and let them know you wish to cancel the promo.

Can someone explain to me why this particular promo can ever be good for property, it totally escapes me. The only result I can see is the migration of PC users over to mobile app., so why offer a discount for that, when you already have both?

I have tried to cancel this promotion but I can't seem to find extranet messaging! I can't work out how to contact BDC at all. I've scrolled through everything on the extranet but I can't find any way to send a message to them.

Hi Rosie,

In your Extranet under your Promotion tab scroll down and there you will find Rate mobile…and you can deactivate it…

It works better in your laptop not in your phone…

Hope this helps…

Hi Fluff,

This Solutions page has a lot more information on the features and benefits to a property when adding a Mobile Rate promotion, but to name a few reasons that a Mobile Rate could make sense for a property:

A Mobile Rate promotion converts bookings on mobile at +28% on average, i.e. adding this targeted promotion will capture 28% more bookings from mobile customers. In many regions, this will be particularly true for last minute bookings, as you could imagine that a guest making a last minute booking is likely booking on their phone; seeing a property offering a targeted, mobile only promotion will capture their attention, increase clicks for the property from search results, and ultimately result in more guests choosing to finalise their booking rather than looking at other options (+28% as mentioned above). All of this will positively impact the properties ranking in search results, meaning increased visibility in future guest searches.

Kind regards,

Jarratt

fluff, very good question you have....

Hello, that doesn't sound right to me - for the vast majority of properties, you can add or remove a mobile rate promotion by clicking into the Promotions tab in the extranet. There are some exceptions, but very few. Your property may of course be one of the exceptions, I don't mean to imply that you are incorrect. There are also a growing number of channel managers that enable a property owner to add or remove targeted promotions for Booking.com directly from their channel manager (which may be 'good to know').

Kind regards,

Jarratt

Hi Jarratt,

Are you replying to my comment of 2 years ago???

When mobile promotion was introduced there was no possibility to deactivate mobile promotion in Extranet…

BDC added mobile promotion in Promotion tab after many partners complained  that they cannot delete mobile promotion…

Maria

Hi.

I want to remove only 10% Discount, not to deactivate on Mobile $ App!
If I click Deactivate, the Gests can book from Mobile Device and APP?

Hello, if you deactivate a mobile rate promotion, your property will still be bookable on booking.com (all channels), there is nothing to be concerned about there. The only difference will be that your property is no longer actively offering a targeted mobile promotion, and you won't have the 'mobile only price' tagging. Another benefit to consider for keeping the mobile rate active is that, on average, 28% more customers will finalise a booking if a property has a targeted mobile rate active, as this incentivizes the guest to complete the booking at the time to take advantage of the promotion you are offering.
