I have some photos of my oatmeal before serving. (some want fresh fruits, some don't)

We used to do this complimentary! While we were fully renovating the house, and still had guests staying, but now there is a free lite breakfast upstairs, and downstairs in the nearly finished dining room, is the full on buffet and cooked breakfast. We actually love doing this. We charge $15 per guest and they book by 9 pm the night before, and tell us when they want to be sitting. Then all we have to do is ensure to have the fresh ingredients that night before the shops shut. To be honest, it's a great earner on it's own and feeds us as well. Who doesn't like being served on silver and fine china!  :)

Each day of your stay with us we serve Freshly baked breads, usually Sour Dough, Raisin walnut, and scones. Along with that we serve fresh fruit, fresh squeezed juices, coffee and tea, some sort of egg dish depending upon what is in season, potatoes or sausage or bacon, and freshly baked cakes and pastries! Come visit!

Our continental breakfast is usually served to the table. In high season from September to October we make a small buffet out of it,  helping the service person having it a bit easier.

We bring coffee, tea or hot chocolate  and fresh eggs prepared after guests wish (boiled, scrambled, fried) to the table. Orangejuice is also standing at the tables already.

The offered breakfast is an experience from serving guests in the "modern way" for more than 60 years. Before that time, a whole breakfast was not a usual here. Just a cup of coffee or tea. Not more.

Our guesthouse exists since around 1500. It was combined with a farm earlier, but in the beginning 1900s my grandparents gave the last cows away to concentrate on serving the upcoming "crowd" of travellers who came first by coaches and since 1900 by train. Then in the 50s travelling to the italian sea by car was affordable and since then until now we host mostly overnighters here at Brennerpass.

Starting from the left we have "Marmorkuchen" a chocolate-bisquit-cake, a loaf of whole grain bread, rolls, corn rolls, italian cornettos/croissants (single packed for freshness). Then the Muesli cart. with 4 types of cereals, fresh fruit, steamed fruit, yoghurt and hey-milk (no silage) ,
Then the packed butter, jam, cheesespread, liverspread, honey and nutella, a bowl with tomato and cucumber slices, again some fruit (always depending on our local small supermarkets offering) fruit-yoghurts and the sausage cheese platter (ham, salami, Speck (Bacon) and sliced Butter-cheese. On the wooden board are again 3 pcs of local cheese.

All this is served in our 220 yr old wooden boarded dining room.

    Thanks for reading,

    Thomas from Austria :-)

Being in the North of England - I serve a freshly cooked "full english" of eight locally sourced items (Bacon, Sausage, Eggs, Beans, Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Potato cake, and a slice of Black Pudding (a local breakfast delicacy). Obviously guests can also choose any combination or alternative to suit their needs - for example Scrambled Eggs on toast, or even a Bacon Butty if they are wanting a "grab and go" fast breakfast.

Also, always available are breakfast cereals, orange juice, yoghurts and freshly baked croissants and toast, along with a selection of marmalades, jams, and local honey.  I offer a vegetarian and vegan alternative, and obviously lashings of tea and coffee. I also offer a 'continental style of Cheese's and Ham' if desired (along with rest but not cooked items).

It has become a feature of my property hilighted by BDC in my listings, and guests love it - touch wood, up to now never got any rating other than 10 (out of 27 ratings).  It also gives me a point of contact with the guests, where I can add value depending on if they want a morning 'chat' or some local information and help with their day, etc. I only have 3 rooms so it is a very personal offering.

Davespiceuk that looks lovely! We feel the same as you, it’s such a great opportunity to connect. We operate a very small place and one of the reasons we do it is to get to know the people of this country. We are not from where we live and operate our business. Keep up the good work!

We serve fresh blueberries, raspberries and strawberries from the garden when in season, with a selection of c20 cereals (at least five are gluten-free). We're hoping that next year we will also have kiwi fruit. There's also home-baked croissants and pain au chocolate and almost always hand-baked wholemeal/walnut bread. At the moment we have a glut of blackberries in the local park, so we're eating a ton of them and juicing the rest!

Breakfast is included in our room rate. We are a family run destination Spa and have couple of exclusive suites originally meant for our spa guest only but recently started offering the suites separately. We offer a health breakfast to our spa guest and stay over guests:

We serve a buffet for breakfast now. We started with a simple choice of bacon and eggs and toast, coffee or tea and moved to a wider selection of 6 different menu choices and now we offer a buffet. Still, there are people who complains about the breakfast choices. Guess there is just no pleasing everyone.

No never heard of white pudding, I’ll look it up online! We serve Black Pudding as we are just outside Bury, the home of Black Puddings, so it’s a must local delicacy. It has the marmite effect on people - they love it or hate it. I know what goes into it but try not to think about it lol.

We offer a Buffet Continental Breakfast with a choice of 3 cereals, 2 flavours of yogurts, fresh fruit, a selection of cheeses and cold meats and then we include a hot plated English Breakfast with bacon, 2 eggs to order, mushrooms and tomato once the guest is done with the buffet. Usually served al fresco as our South African weather is so wonderful as is our view. This is included in all our accommodation rates. We only accommodate 12 guests in 6 luxury rooms & 8 in the Traditional Rondavels; so breakfast is really easy.

    Hi Lee

We use either an electrical hotplate or candles below our serving trays.  For rice soup, we use an electrical hot pot. The eggs, however, is cooked on order at our egg station.
