Proud winner of a 9.9 guest review award in my first year.

Quality excellence was a main subject and skill during my engineering career. I feel the skills I used during my working life have now become a valuable asset to grow and improve my Chambre d'Hote business. I wondered how I would get on having left a very busy engineering life, but my success last year 2018 has shown lessons learned and taught skills can be carried forward into other life work, such as my bed and breakfast business. In the beginning there have been many bumps in the road so to speak to overcome, but I realised having been successful last year that its important not to forget the that skills can be translated and application of those skills brought into my present  life. They do very much apply and add to my success here in France.

I have a virtual quality toolbox which can be opened anytime a problem occurs, and are used on an ongoing basis, its full of methods and approaches to good customer service and problem solving that is applicable to my business. So, I'm happy to share those methods and explain the approach I use.

Excellent work Nigel and welcome to the forum.

Our working life has taught us so many and helpful tricks to handle our very hard situations. Whatever we do in our lives our toolbox has to be always by our side, ready to serve us. Talking about toolbox, I still have my fathers toolbox full of hammers, nails, screwdrivers etc. etc... which is very handy for some small repairs in the house....

Nigel, that is marvellous! Well done.

Now a question for you. What do you do with someone stealing towels and rating you a 5? You must have a tool for that in your box. And the bad review is apparently now to be taken away by BDC.

Greetings,

Aaltje B.
