Anonymous Reviews

Do you agree that Booking.com should not allow anonymous guests leaving a negative review? I found that they are the ones who are leaving negative comments to the point of exaggerating things...Most of my guests rate me 10 and they say I am a very excellent and friendly host and my Guesthouse is superb they said But when some anonymous guest left a review my rating is affected.
Booking.com should not allow this to happen because our businesses will be affected!
Thanks, please leave a comment

Hi Fgabby1

What to do when someone anonymous leaves a negative review? The person ate a lemon, (or the person who actually put in the review, could be someone not even being at your place! ) And we have to wait 2 years before we can start afresh again.

Ideally I suggest we have two groups. The ones with hotels, being group I and the ones with accomodation(s) group II

Owning a hotel I can imagine that staff simply can't go into too much detail when it comes to reviews.

When a place is genuinely good it will be the odd negative one, but overall it will be outstanding.

When owning a smaller place or places it has far more consequences when there is a negative review.

I would also like the idea of guests being able to request something or ask questions before booking. That way you get a pretty good idea of what / who you are dealing with.

Hopefully both ideas will be implemented soon.

It will enrich the life of the host and future guests.

Thank you for bringing up the topic.

Greetings

Aaltje B.

Thanks for your reply, that is correct! It really pains me to read a negative review as you know this is our business our baby. Anyway the ratio of giving negative review to positive ones is perhaps 1:50 so it is just a very minute one. We just keep on delivering the best services we could. I just wish that anonymous reviews should be removed!
