Well It happened again yesterday. I am expecting guests from Antigua/Berbuda for Christmas. Have the room ready and no one shows up. I contacted them via Booking.com and they acknowledged that they had forgotten about the reservation. No cancellation, no show. According the cancellation policy they have to pay in full, but that is exactly the point. If they have to pay upon arrival but do not show up, how do you get paid? How can Booking.com help out here since this is already the fifth time this year. Veru frustrating, especially when you have been through two hurricanes in September and no tourist as shown up so far.
