I just love Brisbane, Queensland and Australia. A great river city surrounded by two great coasts being the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast as well as Ipswich, outback Queensland and the tropical Queensland. My husband and I started our Bnb called Brisbane Modern and Convenient Coorparoo in 2017 to support our semi-retirement.
Our BNB is in our dual purpose house and we are excited about being hosts to our lovely guests, many from overseas and here in Australia.

I need to turn off instant booking after a system fault which led to a booking when it was already booked by another party.
Can someone show me how?
Thank you for your post, yes it can be a little difficult when you live on the property. We have been very fortunate with only a couple of guests who did not follow house rules.
Where you’re from?
I am from Brisbane, Australia. Brisbane is becoming very popular with travelling guests.
What’s your property like?
We have a large home which has got too big for my partner and myself. We turned the top floor of our house into a B&B. It has three large queen sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. Our property is called Brisbane, Modern and Convenient Coorparoo and we have been in the B&B business since mid 2017.
We really enjoy meeting and talking to guests from all over the world. It is hard work but enjoyable when we get such great reviews and information that the guests share with us about their visits to Brisbane and how much they enjoyed their stay. It is very satisfying.
a nice soap is not expensive.
No sure if it is a lovely surprise. If I receive a gift, it is a gift and I would not expect a bill for it.
A suggestion for you that I do:
It is just the little things you do that make the difference and stand out from the rest, good coffees, brewed, filtered, different teas, hand made soaps, leaving a lovely box of quality biscuits and quality hand creams and bubble bath salts.
I provide information about little cafes and restaurants that are only a walk away before they get here.
I try and meet many of my guests and find out their interests.
I have put a few fun games and cards on a little table and chair for children to keep them entertained.
Each month I collect the latest to do do booklets and provide in the foyer of our property to alert guests what is the latest shows or free entertainment for families at South Bank.
Yes I was a little excited to start to get booking with booking.com. I also do get a fair amount of cancellations. Thank you Richie for your explanation.
Ooh it would have been good to see comments on this question.
I have the same issue. This is the first time a change of booking date has occurred for me with Booking.com.
I guess tht they will need to cancel booking and rebook immediately.
There has been no deposit made at this stage.
Not sure if this is correct but I will go with this.
The only risk is after cancelled, I cant block out these days and If they cancel and don't rebook immediately (the new dates may already be taken)
