How to collect a Master Card Virtual Credit Card payment from booking?

 Hello,

my property is in Cuba, but I live in México and I receive the rent payments from booking through a Master Card Virtual Credit Card wich I'm still not able to collect.

Booking staff told me I could use virtual services to collect the payments, such as transferwise, sumup, stripe or squareup (since getting a TPV machine is not an option for me, since its cost is bigger than my incomes from rents), but even when I've signed up and I've followed any possible process in their webs, I haven been able to collect any Master Card Virtual Credit Card payment yet.

Could someone tell me about a virtual service to do it for sure? Or, what method are you people using to get paid when you're getting this kind of payments?

Thanks in advance for your kind help.

Hi there Karengs1981 !

Sorry to hear about your struggles. I've actually seen this question on the forum a lot.

Perhaps just browse the threads a bit to see if you can find the answer and I don't think people will answer on this post. Wish I could help but I don't know the answer either as we have a POS terminal.

Best of luck!

Thanks a lot for your kind comment.

I've browsed the threads in this forum without succes. I'm still looking for a solution to collect Master Card Virtual Credit Card payments from booking. I hope There's an option.

As I've told, I've tried every virtual payment service, but none has worked.

If some has the answer, dealing with the same issue, please let me know.

Regards, Rafael.

Hey Karengs1981 ,

Am so sorry about this.

Hmm, okay well I've learned that my company uses VCS (which is an online system). You do need to cut a lot of red tape to get it, but it's worth it at the end of the day as you put the card through without the physical card.

Perhaps phone your bank and ask them? It's funny because it really shouldn't be this hard right?

Best of luck Rafael!

Thanks again for your answers.

Sadly, I'm still loking for a way to collect Virtual Credit Cards from booking.com and it seems there's no way to do it from Mxico. I've done as you mentioned and went to my bank here, but they say they can help me to collect this kind of payments.

When you say your company uses VCS, do you mean you could collet them through your company? I've found out that I can't even use them to make payments.

I'm still searching and I haven't found information or answers from booking.com that help me to collect VCS.

Regards, Rafael.

Hello Everyone,

We offer Virtual Card processing for many Cuban properties.

The reason why it fails is that you need a commercial terminal to process these and those are given to companies, therefore it's nearly impossible for a person who rents an apartment to do this by themselves.

If you are interested to get these done, contact us via our website and let's talk about solving it.

We pay out via AIS, PayPal, Bank Transfer (not in Cuba).

Hope this helps for you to understand how it works,

Zsolt - www.thuild.com

Hi Karengs1981,

I have also a Casa in Cuba, but I'm in Germany. I'm working with Stripe and they alsways confirmed that the problem should be on Booking side! I have now 3 VCC to charge and still in the same mass! Could you please inform me, how you cleared the problem?

Expedia is no problem, only Booking.com and their service is catastrophic!

Regards,
Olfert

Hello Olfer.

Nowadays I'm still looking for a way to collect Virtual Credit Cards from booking.com in México without any luck. I wrote directly to booking.com support and I didn't get any answer.

But since you're in Germany, not in Mexico, I think many of the options I've tried could work for you. Here are some of them:

billpocket.com, hyperwallet.com, onepay.com, openpay.com, paysimple.com, payoneer.com, payrexx.com, payu.com, smilewallet.com, squareup.com, sumeup.com, transferwire.com

Give them a try and I think you'll get one that works for you.

Regards.

Dear Karengs1981,

None of those work for this. The ones which would work, will require you to have a registered LTD. Or other type of company and the whole onboarding can take up a few months if successful, if the underwriter accepts you. But usually new companies are not accepted as you have to have some type of history with payment processing.

That's the reality of it.

It's why I offer the services to process these on behalf of other partners.

For that, you have my post above giving more details.

Best regards,

Hi Karengs 1981,

I was now successfull with SumUp, it's working...but I have to charge in € because my account is in Germany. Normally, as you make business with Booking, they should giv eyou the rights to work with virtual credit cards, in US$ as you are located in Mexico.

Zsolt is nice to offer his help, but it's not the cheapest way to resolve...and I believe it's better to find a direct posibility within the mentioned solutions.

Best regards,
Olfert

Dear Olfert,

I think you've missed the point.

SumUp is not processing any Virtual Cards. If you have signed up with them, then you spent money for something that won't work for you.

Yeah, there are many solutions for physical card processing and extremely little for MO/TO type of processing (which is only available for companies who have a long processing track record).

Therefore, what I'm offering is quite good and not expensive at all.

Best regards,

Stripe will not process my virtual cards that start with the numbers 5533 97 as they get auto declined due to high levels of fraud.  I have not been able to get booking to issued me a VCC that does not start with 5533 97  and I have not been able to get paid.  Unfortunately my property is in Mexico and I am Canadian.  I do not have a Mexican bank so booking will not deposit the funds into a bank account.

I have not found a way to get paid for my bookings.

Dear all,

I faced the same problem - Stripe blocked me for whatever reason. I think the problem could be that Booking.com issues a narrow virtual credit card which is suitable only for accomodation providers - and if you try some times with Stripe to recover the money, Stripe blocks you. I am not sure with the new VCC that booking.com issues - any experience? With payrexx or SumUP or others? Please help, this gets really annoying and bothersome! Thanks
