Reviewing Guests

Why is there no one that we can review Guests - it seems unfair that the Guest can review but we are unable to review the Guest

I am amazed at how many Guests use Debit Cards and we are unable to credit them.

I agree as a host we cannot screen our guests (which can be done though AirBnB) we find some leave the room in a mess but we have no say in who books.

I agree. As a property owner I wish there was a way to read previous reviews about guests so that I know who I am going to host. It's very one sided to allow guests ways to rate hosts, but not the other way around.

Too be totally honest,

Some guests you look at and you think OMG! I don't want them here but they leave the place immaculate and they have thoroughly enjoyed their stay.

Some guests turn up glamorous and you think, how lovely are they and they leave the place like you are their servant!

Some guests turn up in business suits and you think, how professional do they look, they end up wetting the bed!!

A taxi driver who stayed with me long term judged me unfairly and said "Barbara you'll take anyone here, it's all about the money with you" I said Tony (his name) when people get into your taxi at 7pm they are lovely, polite people and when they get back in at midnight after a few drinks are they the same!!! He shut his mouth and walked off.

I have learnt not to judge people, I find guests who have booked with Booking.Com are a better class of guest, then those who knock on my door...

In three years with Airbnb I've only had one inconsiderate guest.

In three months with Booking.com I've had three - and a damaged / unusable microwave, police turn up, complaints from other guests and makeup shavings over the floor and trodden in throughout the property.

Reviewing guests, in my opinion, is something that Booking.com could adopt to great adavantage and complaint minimising for them.

Our first guest ever with BDC was a pop up brothel which worked noisily until 5 o'clock in the morning.

Never ever have I had such a problem with Airbnb!!!

Hello I have been with Air B& B for 6 months, now also joined booking . com, & being booked up just as quickly , but so far I cannot seem to review whom is coming, there is no picture of the guests ( as air b& b do) also I cannot see anything about the potential guest? Is this safe?  Its a lot different site than air B& B & taking me a while to famairise myself with it. but frustrating I know nothing about potential guests.

I had a recent international guest that checked in who didn't understand how a smart lock works, left the door open to my property while she when out to dinner. I drove over to the property to show her how to work the lock even though all the instruction are posted on booking .com. When she checked out she left the room a total mess and had broken the window shades and because I requested damage fees for the window shade she give my property a bad review. I think it is totally unfair that we as host don't get to review the guest. We should have the option to be able to choose to review guest, just as they have the option to review us.

Agree booking dot should have a 2 way review option, at least for us private hosts whether one wants to use it or not up to the host. Multiroom ‘hotel’ style facilities operate on different principles. Book dot online platform is also very multifaceted compared to say air b&b but saying that most bookin . co hosts have paid staff to keep calendars constantly updated.

As a new host with a bnb and on book.com platforms we`re finding the book.co has been set up for larger hotels only where they don`t allow any guest reviews for what I believe privacy reasons nor they have time or care to review.  Just IMO

One of the main reasons why I use Airbnb more than Booking.com is that. We can get an idea of the guests if there were reviews about them!

Once drug users came to my house through booking.com and broke my tv and smashed the surveillance cameras

They broke the windows and the house was in terrible condition

Booking. Com didn’t compensate nothing It is absolutely not fair that I can’t review the guests instead they can write whatever they want

I wish i can score guests as they have the right to score us as at least i have the right to take in consideration the reviews of other hosts for any guest.

sometimes we are facing fake and taking revenges reviews and scores due to not giving them more than we are offering in our lists or due to sticking to the booking policies from our side.

so i wish to enhance removing review policy to match the real life and situations we are facing nowadays as it should follow an investigation for each case individually up on the inputs and the history of the booking itself specially if the host already filed a complaint during the guest stay or check in  .

as for sure there is no one will insult or do as the rules says in a public review to any host but some guests for sorry misusing the review tool.
