I wanted to set up different cancellation policies for different dates but was unable to do so myself and had to go through Booking.com to do it for me. Unfortunately, I cannot see what cancellation policy has been set and only noticed when I had a cancellation that booking.com has set the wrong policy for one room on specific dates.
This happens when the system does not let you do it yourself or/and cannot view it in your calendar.
When booking.com first announced that they would change the review system for guests to score from 1-10 on individual criteria, I was all for it. But then I realized that they were able to score an overall score as well, which I find completely unnecessary. I, as so many others, get excellent reviews for individual criteria, but then the overall score often does not reflect that. E.g. 10 out of 10 for all criteria, but an overall score of 9 out of 10. Really? How? Why? Do away with the overall score, average out the individual criteria score (just like before, except now it is 10 of 10, not 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10) - problem solved.
