Thuild - Your world of creation (franchise) Your desk is already so clean and tidy.

  • Bandara Hotels & Resorts my reception desk is tidy. That's how my work desk needs to look like.

I had to get that mousepad when I saw the print on it :)

Also ignore the string of cables, there was no other way to solve that :))

Here's mine at a better moment...

I don't spend too much time here as I have Team-Viewer on my lappy and mobly.

Believe me YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEE my work space. It is the only part of the house which I lock and try not to let guests get into unless necessary. It is a dedicated office. I could easily convert it into another bedroom but I need some space where I can leave papers stuck to cork boards. I have books, files, computers and  back up systems, emergency power supplies etc. But maybe I can post a photo of a sculpture which an artist who knows a lot about psychology made for me. He hung it up on the wall where I work and it cannot be removed. Let's see who can tell what the sculpture represents! It is approximately 1 metre high by 30cm wide and 10cm deep and weighs some 25 Kg.

Before anyone asks - the age of the rock making up the sculpture and the wall behind it is approximately 25 million years. So for people who have the education to appreciate these things we (architects and experts in the field) chose to leave it exposed as you can even see fossils of long extinct creatures.

Edit: I was talking about the wall. Many of the walls are exposed limestone.

  • Nice fossilized jellyfish. But we want to see the whole space. C'mon, enlighten us

    Joking :)

It's a giant, petrified spliff, with fossilised magic mushrooms.

Thuild I will only photograph the whole office if you come and make it look good :-P It's my only area where I can permit some ' organised chaos'. Incidentally well done for realising they are jellyfish - most people don't see them. fluff  What are you smoking? :-P

Katerinka12 Funny that you said you see a man with a long beard. The sculpture has been there for almost 20 years and mostly women see Chinese men with a long beard!

     Edit: 16 years

Too big head and especially...too long beard for Chinese men!

I also saw the jellyfish, but was in the mood to joke.

I can't stop laughing.. Your comment to fluff. Smiling mushrooms, I guess? Magic!

    Hi all,

I love the turn this thread took! Thanks guys.

Joey  - It kinda looks like Ernie and Bernie from a Shark's tale... "Ernie! You made a joke! Good for you man." This is the vibe I'm getting from this thread also :-P

fluff  - I love the color scheme of your work space. It all looks very matchy matchy!

Thuild - Your world of creation (franchise)  - That chair, in the first photo, looks Massively comfortable! I assume, from everything I've read from you, that you don't get much chance to sit there though?

A lot of people on the forum are complaining tha tthe Pulse app can't do Everything, such as allow you to view credit card details. So one always needs a space with a computer/laptop from where to run things.

I'll tidy up a bit and keep my colleagues away from my desk long enough to take a photo.

    Keep well all!

Leandri Klopper  - It's actually worn out! We were hoping to redo it before high season but other more important fixes took over.

Joey  - Lucky you're not in Thailand, any Thai visitors would run a mile thinking it was three "Krasue" haunting your office! (google it....mruhahahaaaa)

  • Leandri Klopper I am almost always sitting in it while I do my office work or write on this forum, but yes, most time I spend upstairs with preparing breakfast, cleaning rooms, etc.

Come on, let's see the photo :)

fluff what a cute Krasue :) You know, I live in Transylvania, so we are used to stuff like this :)

Joey, the first look at your sculpture told me it's amulet. Somehow, all of them, no matter the age, origin and artist, look the same. And must be on the wall!

    You wrote:

"But maybe I can post a photo of a sculpture which an artist who knows a lot about psychology made for me. He hung it up on the wall where I work and it cannot be removed".

Artist, who knows a lot about psychology... What is his psychological message to you? Why it can't be removed? Did you try to remove it? Or he wanted to make sure you can't remove it?

I am not an architect, but the way I see your sculpture, it looks to me as amulet.

One time Ukrainian priest gave me two amulets. Boy and a girl 😊 Sort of Orthodox amulets that they use... And I didn't follow the whole story, because I am not into amulets and those beliefs. But surprisingly, the shape is the same. And wall plus amulet is a must.

If I can only express what exactly jellyfish means for the owner. First of all the typical behavior of jellyfish is to dissappear when there is slight sign of danger. Jellyfish is a symbol of beauty, stealth, elusiveness and poise.

Everyone know how extremely beautiful jellyfish can be and poise us.

The picture of jellyfish will help its owner to avoid any conflict situations, will endow him with plasticity, beauty of gesture and grace. Amulet jellyfish will calm and restore the balance of the spirit in the most difficult moment of life. One has only to look at the image of a jellyfish, as you will understand that all the events taking place are not at all as terrible as they were previously thought.

May be thats why you keep it? And do not remove it? Show it to us as your treasure? 😊
