Further differentiating my premium property in a sea of budget ones

We have a deluge of properties for rent on our little island now. Anybody who has a space has listed it and it is bringing prices down, obviously. Mostly they are modest apartments where the owners retire their old bed inherited from their grandmother...out of say 300 places there are probably 20 that are furnished with new and appropriate furniture and with the more professional type host. Mine is one such property, everything is premium and designed for comfort (pillow menu, cotton sheets, good quality towels, excellent sofa with great back support) but am wondering how to make it more obvious than it currently is, because our price difference is great. We also really look after our guests (got a 10/10 rating at booking.com) I don't over emphasise this as I don't want to overpromise, but rather underpromise and overdeliver.

What tips does the community have for me? Thank you in advance

Hey Classetter ,

You are in a difficult situation my friend, but not a hopeless one.

We have found that Word of Mouth is the best way to get things done. Make sure you have Facebook and that you use words such as "Quality". Perhaps run a special or two, people love talking about competitions they won and how the prize was.

In regards to your actual profile on Booking.com, I'm not sure there is much that can be done differently other than not bringing your prices down until it is completely necessary. People who want quality, don't mind paying more for it. Perhaps your normal rate (which is higher than the rest) will make you stand out, and standing out is good publicity.

Hoping more partners will join in, this is a stunner.

Keep well and best of luck!
