Good question.

I am in the music team in my local church. We are going to play music at the service with our team.

But that is maybe not what you mean.

I play piano, sing and play the silver flute. (not all at once)

Easter Cards Great Idea!!

Will send photo.

Hi Aaltje B. ,

Thank you so much for sharing, I'm sure you're going to have a great time.

What about your guests? Do you plan anything special for Easter?

You make me think now Ilaria. Haven't thought about it, other then card making , bread making...

And we like chocolate and I am sure everyone likes chocolate,

but that is not essential for Easter.

Why do we celebrate Easter, and how are my guests going to blessed by it. Maybe play them a nice song ?

Hello there,

I did this last year at my guesthouse where I had received a few complaints about the fact that I took the initiative of placing Easter decorations and so forth here and there around the property for that of the Easter occasion, and found many had not enjoyed the idea as they said Easter is only specific to certain nations and religions.

So after that I figured I won't be doing that again.

If you give them an easter deal Mr Shepparton,i believe this would be an opportunity for you to market your services to a number of guests. You must be an opportunist in order to stay alive in this business haha

Hi Maria

Thank you for the compliment. The photo came together in a very special way. I was actually outside because of the full moon and absolutely clear sky. night time around 11 PM. I made the cross from pieces of firewood. These two were the only ones that were long enough. (We live next door to dense bush, so we have stacks of wood)

Since Good Friday was around the corner I didn't have much time. But had that picture running through my mind that night of a cross with a cloth wrapped around. (timing!)

Now I just found cheesecloth during a clean out the day before. (timing!)

So the wood was arranged, the cloth was arranged, now the string to bind the wood together. I also happened to find one last piece in a drawer in the kitchen. (timing!)

Then I managed to put it together without the help of hubby - who can fix e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. - but he was sleepy as he worked hard on the farm that day. So I put it behind the fence and found a gap where it could stay put. I didn't need hammers or tools :) (timing!)

All the photo gear set up and tried about 8 different pictures....Not to my liking...

Then suddenly I heard a possum, making noise, it was very close. -The possum is a pest like rats but much bigger and have fur like a cat - and we normally shoot them if we can-

So I woke up my half-asleep husband from the chair, and he said, I will get my torch - since possums don't like bright light, they stand still - look straight in the light and then easy target....

Guy flicked his torch on and looked for the possum. Then the light caught the cross. That with the amazing effect! So I immediately went click click click.

And there it was. A perfect picture. I was stoked! (over the moon happy)

We looked for the possum, you think we could find it? And it is a slow and loud animal, so where was it??

It disappeared, but Aaltje was able to get a perfect picture!

This is like the most favourite moments in the life of a photographer. You need a lot of luck. But this was more than luck I think :)

It will be shared the world over, not sold. For everyone to enjoy.

Have a blessed and joyful Easter everyone. God is not dead, He's alive!

Easter is finally here and the weather is magnificent. The Easter Sunday is the day that everybody is awaiting to celebrate in their country villages. So if the weather is nice and sunny families and friends gather before noon to roast the lamb on a spit and then enjoy a long lunch until llate in the night with lots of meat, potatoes, salads, drinks and dancing till the end. Before eating the lamb we always start with cracking the red eggs with each other, which symbolizes the risen Christ’s blood. My granddaughter chooses the strongest egg so she can win everyone in the cracking of their eggs.

This is my little Easter basket for my guests.

Happy Easter everybody...

Happy Easter, Maria and yours :)

Wow, that is significant, the red eggs. I had never heard of that tradition before.

And the lace: Stands for us: We are the bride. He gave His blood for us, so we will be forgiven. Amazing!

Happy Easter, Maria and yours :)

And the lamb.... represents Jesus. (He is called: "The lamb of God) Amnos tou Theou, ....John 1 : 29 Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

And in Psalm 23 God is called : Shepherd, leading his flock ( mankind)

We are waiting for Him to come back, rescuing us from troubled times.

Celebrate, Yahoo. :)

Wishing you a peaceful year!

Greetings

Aaltje B.
