Integrate Booking.com calendar to external website

Hi there,

We have a booking.com page that we would now like to integrate with our website. It's a regular HTML5 website through Perch CMS. Ideally we would like guests to enter in their check-in/check-out dates, number of people staying (adults, children, infants) and which house they want. Can someone advise if me a) how best to go about this integration, which API to use? b) do we need a channel management system for this to work? and c) can it link to our AirBnB to keep that synced also?

Many thanks

Dear Erin,

You have a Booking Suite page set up already with its own domain? Or what Bookingcom page are you referring to?

If you have that, it would be wise to integrate a website in a website style.

To better explain, go to my website, the first page you see is linked to my own domain and it works great to present everything in general, however, whenever a Book command is clicked, then the Booking engine opens a new tab, which is linked to my PMS/CM. That's the best way to do it.

Now for the above example, use your domain, then link the book action to BDC's Booking Suite website, for booking finalization.

However, my question comes. WHY on earth would you like to use the Booking Suite if you pay the 10% commission through that? It's not a direct booking and certainly it's better to have a channel manager for this case to be sure that the linked calendars on BDC's end will update with the direct bookings.

Hope that clarifies it,

Zsolt - www.thuild.com

I will recommend Channel manager. But it also depend what system are you using and what information you need.

I recommend using something like https://motopress.com/products/hotel-booking/ instead of directing traffic to booking.com.

It allows you to sync calendars across all OTAs, has support for "check-in/check-out dates, number of people staying (adults, children, infants)", and can be made to support a drop-down menu to select a specific house.

Thuild's recommendation is also good, if you want to use siteminder's booking solution.

However, with my solution you retain control by having the visitor complete the check-out completely on your website, and you skip the $47 monthly fee + setup + commission.
