Same Day booking cancellation
Hey there,
we had a guest book early this morning and at 6 pm tonight cancelled the booking. As B.C. won't allow us to do Payments Online and no way of forcing the guest to pay a deposit, there is no penalty for the guest cancelling like this. Any suggestions? We have now had 7 cancellations out of 9 bookings. Most within the first 24 hours with no penalty, and the 14 day moderate cancellation policy. Our last guest said our facility was awesome, we weren't charging enough, and gave us a 10/10.

Hi David,
we don't have POS credit card, but we do have online facility that allows them to click on a link in an email and pay an invoice. Previous requests to prepay have been ignored so they obviously weren't serious bookers. I had a same day booker cancel that evening at 6 pm. I sent him a request for payment because he cancelled (reduced it by 50%) and had no response. Booking.com don't make it easy. I have actually decided to terminate our relationship with them and just stick with AirBnB. At least if we get booking we know they are genuine because they have paid up front.
