Loadshedding South Africa

LOAD SHEDDING SOUTH AFRICA

I would love to know what other hosts in South Africa does when load shedding happens. It is 2x a day for 2 hours and in some places up to 4 x a day. It is not good for our business at all. I do candles, oil lamps and gas bottles and gas stove top for my self-catering apartment. My guest BBQ weather permitting and go eat out, mostly.  would love to hear your thoughts guys. xx

Hi! Moira today is a very warm sunny day. When sun shines so nice problems seem to slip away easier...

We have similar problems sometimes but not so often. Its drastic trying to make business not having the essentials.

In the summertime we face problems with water. Its very hard trying to explain to guests that they cannot have a shower after swimming...

Country problems... try to live with them....

Dont worry be happy....

These things are out of your control, so the guests should be understanding. As an option you can set autoresponder, so at least the guest can come while you are being surrounded by romantic candles :)

Yes, yes, yes.... I love romantic candles. Try to make guests to love them also...

After all life is full of surprises and experiences.

We lived 15 years without having electricity network in our country home, spending amazing weekends with family and friends. Our house was surrounded by beautiful candle and lamp light. Even kids enjoyed it, but you cant live like that forever, nowdays. Not to mention that before the house was built we lived in a trailer... To tell you the truth I miss it sometimes, so many memories, it was fantastic....
