BrookeAve. It do not really work. I am currently in dispute with BDC over BDC clients who never showed or showed and when challenged about the no, of people who had arrived against the no. the booking was for left without paying and it was too late that night to re let the room, I have spoken to 8 different customer service people in the last 3 to 4 weeks. No resolution to the problem. They are threatening to cut me off. I can only see a legal battle looming. So there may be info at the bottom of each page. But it does not mean there is the correct help available.
I think the problem is the reservation form that we all get from BDC. On it, it states 7% VAT. This should only apply to the BDC commison and not the total amount. I would assume that all of the commison they receive takes them over their VAT threshold. So really the problem should be theirs and not ours.
We do not have a VAT reg. no, as we are below the threshold required and trying to get VAT receipts for a loaf of bread and a couple of pain o'chocolates is not going to happen. On all my invoices i give to clients who ask for one for the company accounts i write we are not registered for VAT. The problem seems to lie with BDC as their registration form states VAT charged at 7%. This should be their problem on their commison amount not the overall cost of the booking.
