Breakfast price

Hello.

Does anyone know what price for the brekafast will be the best? Is this price changes in high season or in the other monts in the year? You can answer with breakfast price in euros, dollars or other currencies. We would like to offer homemade brekafast to spoil the guests spirit of area in which we live. We are situated in the Plitvice Lakes National Park, one of the most popular national parks in the world.

Thanks for the comments nad suggestions.

It all depends of what your offer/service is for the breakfast.
We have a large buffet breakfast, served outside in the garden for 9,00eur per person. In low season we charge 5-6€ per person. But not because of the season, but because the range of dishes and service is more limited.

Try to find out what other properties charge and what they offer. That should give you a base price to work from.

Hi there,

We are offering for our guests traditional continental breakfast. In this breakfast you have an option to try a lot of homemade products like baked sausages, bacon, ham and baked cheese. We also offer bread, pancakes, jams (8 different types of jams), butter, cheese, eggs, joghurts, fruits ( banana, apple, orange, pear), cereals (corn, oatmeal, integral), coffee, tea, milk and juices. Does anyone know what will be normal price for that kind of breakfast (taking into consideration what is offered)?

Thanks a lot for help.

As I suggested in my previous post, you need to check out other properties, if none in your area, at least places in your own country.

Questions to ask yourself. Are you pricing to sell breakfasts or pricing to not have to serve breakfast? Are you a 5 star luxury hotel or a small bed & Breakfast? Do you want to make a profit or break even?

Hi Wightgal,

Thanks a lot for respond. We don't have a lot of properties in our area which serve breakfast to guests. If I would like check the prices in our country it will not be good. Why? The answer is simple. We are serving homemade breakfast which is not same like breakfast with products which is bought in the supermarket. If you understand me. That is the point. We are not serving story that breakfast is homemade (bought in the supermarket). We are trying to bring unique homemade breakfast which will not be served on any other place.

But your idea with question to make profit have a sense. If you would like to make the profit you have to set the price for the profit. That is very interesting idea.

Thank you so much for your comment which was very useful and helpful.

Best regards,

Robert

Last year we had a rate for buffet breakfast for 11,00€/person (optional upon request by the guest).
Had few reviews that breakfast was overpriced, and received quite less orders comparing to now that I offer breakfast for 9,00€. Noone said that is overpriced yet, and I get aproximly 100% more orders.. Last year at average 5 - 10 orders per day, now at average 15 - 20 orders. I think this is a fair amount for a "special" breakfast.
"Hotel" breakfast is in average 5,00€/person in my area.
